Thanks for all the help everyone. PSU got me on the right track and then the comments about the difference between CD-RW and CD-R brought it home.

Thanks again.

Help, help, help. Need tech help ASAP.

I am posting this here in hopes that one of you may be able to help me with a project for my wife and her company. Her company is hosting a bunch of fifth graders on Wednesday and as part of the deal they are in need of a few easter songs on CD. I have found the two songs she was looking for on the ...

Give them a break Rog. They are in only their second season as a D-1 program. They have won two straight NCCAA world series. You won't find them in the rankings, but they could easily beat FSU on any given day just as they could beat RICE on any given day.

Is it an 8 or 9 game swing? 7-2 = 9 games total. Or are the games at Houston midweek games and not a weekend series?

Houston is playing decent ball but honestly you guys should sweep Cougar high and OU.

There can be no doubt Texas is #1

After Tulane's performance this weekend it is clear that Texas is currently the #1 team. Hell, they are already Pac 10 champs and kicked our ass last week.

Props Texas, here's hoping we get you back in Houston on 4/20.

Roger,

Not sure how many Texas guys are on FL rosters, but I do know for a fact that there isn't a single FL kid on either the RICE or Texas teams.

Not quite 8-2 but still a W for the Ags. Then RICE took them down by a score of 12-1.

SunCoast, Sorry I have been in Tahoe so I didn't see this until today. Problems? Well if having your top three pitchers go in the top 10 picks is trouble then yes. We are young and rebuilding with guys who haven't seen much time. They are all good players, just young and lacking experience. We shoul...

Indy, what, no picture of the trains going by in the outfield. Nothing like the homefield advantage of UP blowing the whistle as the ags are in the field.

Even bringing the number down to 60 players would be enough to restore the non revenue producing mens sports.
How so? In that it would be in compliance with Title IX, or that there would be enough money to fund more sports teams completely?

Explain your statement.

Lawfully, you cannot pay some college athletes, while not paying others. They are all entitled to equal treatment. Hence my comment about a typical response BSmack. How do you plan on paying the women's lacrosse team? And don't forget that not every D-1A football and basketball team make money. So ...

Typical response by BSmack and Jon for those who support paying football players. I guess it is because they don't really have a good answer. Now I want to clear up a few things I have read in this thread that are incorrect. Athletes don't get four year scholarships. They get 1 year scholarships. Th...

Jon, if you pay one athlete you will have to pay them all. This will put many more athletic programs further in the red. And even if somehow only basketball and football players got money do you pay all basketball players, even those whose schools don't make money? BSmack, your thoughts on paying th...

So BSmack, how much do we pay the women's lacrosse team? Or the women's field hockey team? Because if you are going to pay football athletes then you are going to have to pay every single athlete at every single school. And save me the crap about the schools are making all this money on the backs of...

Like Killian I don't hope quietly, I flat out hope dude fails. Just like I hope Bloom fails. BSmack, I would love to hear your reasons for paying college athletes. Having been there myself there is no reason I can find to pay any college athlete a thing. They get everything they need and then some.

Suncoast, I understand the regulation of it like alcohol, but beer doesn't lead to cocaine like pot sometimes does. BSmack, I think things would be different if religion handled most of the charity functions and the govt reduced their role. As it is now those who really need help often stay away fro...

Exactly Tom, the government should not be in the charity business. There are many effeciencies that volunteers can achieve that govt can't.

BSmack, if you think these examples are the role of government then we need to discuss that before trying to label each other.

BSmack, back away from the Theocracy claims. I never said I wanted the Pope or others to lead our country.

However, I feel those type of groups do a much better job of feeding the hungry or giving shelter to those in the cold than the govt does.

I tend to lean towards keeping it illegal. Spend any amount of time around a place like Sierra Tucson or Betty Ford as I have with a family member and you will see the long lasting devestation pot can bring. Perfect example is the guy who is high and gets behind the wheel of his car. Dude is just go...

Funny thing Jon, that call in the Kansas v Texas game was rated excellent and is already making it into video footage for officials to use to study in the off season.

Jon, why don't you come to one meeting with me before you blast that which you do not know anything about.

Can't disagree with any of those. Looking forward to the Tuesday games against Tulane and Texas, as the WAC will again offer no challenge for the OWLS. I guess we can look forward to again winning the Big XII conference title. We will face OK A&M, TX A&M, and Baylor in the Astro's College Cl...

Harv is correct. Local stations can no longer broadcast their local content if it contains live sporting events that rights have been paid for on the net.

Outlook for the upcoming season...

I like Texas to win it all. They were a game away last year and should be better this season. As always the Big XII will be deep with Baylor and A&M right there. The SEC and ACC are loaded too with LSU and Miami taking the lead in their conferences respectively. RICE will be ok, but we will be r...
