Michigan honks, your thoughts?
....on T.J. Hensick? The Avs just signed him to a three year deal. I can see from his stats that he put up good numbers at the NCAA level, but having not watched much college hockey this year, I'm not sure what to think. What kind of player is he? Pros/cons to having him on the roster?

I've seen this happen with WinXP when it goes into Hibernate or Standby. Basically, while the computer is in this state, the DSL modem/router still thinks it's connected, but the system doesn't renew its DHCP lease, so that when you bring it out of Hibernate/Standby, the IP is no longer valid. This ...

Bwahahaha. What a clown that guy is. How much did he offer this time? A gazillion dollars? Just go away, Eagle. In other news, the Avs re-signed Sakic to another 1 year deal. Good thing too. If they hadn't, there would have been a price on Francois Giguere's head. 1 million dollar raise, which is wo...

The problem you're having is that Frontpage is teh suck. Two options. First, if you want to lay out the jack for it, get Dreamweaver. The best web development tool out their, IMO. Second, if you want to do something a little cheaper (free) check out one of the open source tools out there. I use Nvu ...

I have never been so glad to be wrong. Huge win by the Avs last night in Vancouver. Hejduk keeps hope alive with a hat trick. Then they get a gift from the Sharks. Please, God, please let Edmonton pull their heads out of their collective asses and beat the Flames. Although there's a good chance it w...

In Chilé there's a Catholic church where lived the priests and a short distance away there was a convent for the nuns. There are walls separating them so no hanky panky would ensue. Some time in the mid twentieth century a historical group found a tunnel linking the basement of the church with the ...

Yep, I like to think that Stastny and Wolski are the future this team will be built around. Stastny may be behind Malkin in scoring, but I think he's a better two way player, a function of having played in NCAA as opposed to the Russian leagues. I haven't seen Malkin play much, but the guy is a walk...

I really, really want to believe the Avs will make the playoffs, but the scenario is pretty unrealistic. Both Colorado and Calgary have a possible 8 points up for grabs. For the Avs to make it, they MUST get 7 of those 8 points, and Calgary can't get more than one. If Calgary gets one and Colorado g...

Many other places prohibited sales on Sunday altogether. Colorado still has this law. I've lived here for nine years and it STILL bites me in the ass when we have Sunday evening plans. The script usually goes like this: Wife: I'll make a salad to bring to so-and-so's house for dinner tonight. What ...

Hmmm, I see that this is the place to air our grievances about toll roads. Anyone else familiar with the clusterfuck that is E-470? Ostensibly, it was to be a loop around the Denver metro area, so that people could zip around with their Speedpass and not have to deal with the bullshit that is I-25. ...

Moral of the story: if you get a speeding ticket in New York, and you're inclined just to plead guilty, pay the fine and be on your way, think again. You're better off trying to negotiate a more favorable disposition It's been a while since I got a speeding ticket here, but I believe in Colorado pa...

Was your friend driving like they do in Car and Driver? The good people at that publication like to treat everything like it's a Ferrari Enzo, so that 0-60 in 8.9 was probably stomping on the accelerator and holding it there until you hit 60. If your friend was driving that way, it's unlikely that y...

Just heard on TSN...Ryan Smyth could be on his way to the Islanders. How can the Oilers not resign Smyth? Is he that unhappy in Edmonton? That guy is the heart and soul of their offense. Nice pickup for the Stars. There's no reason they shouldn't contend in the West. Oh wait, yes there is: Marty Tu...

The Avs get someone named Michael Wall for Brad May. Just what they need....another scrub goaltender. Oh, but there's more. They also acquired from San Jose the highly coveted Scott Parker. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish with either of these moves except potentially to clear some c...

I'd say that's a nice move for San Jose. Thornton and Guerin are similar types of players. Put those two on different lines and it will create matchup problems for sure. Put them on the same line and you're going to need a Norris-caliber d-man to stop them. So let's see. The first round of the draft...

espn.com is speculating that Roberts may be headed to the Pens. Solid addition for Pittburgh, if it's true, to get some more veteran leadership in there, but I don't think it will get them a Cup. Seems like the Pens would be better off just standing pat for now. They've got some of the best young ta...

Well, I guess you got your answer. The GWG and an assist from Forsberg. If the Wings sign him, I hope he is a rent-a-player. The Avs only have one more game against Detroit and it is looking less likely that they'll meet Detroit or anyone else in the playoffs, so I wouldn't have to see many games wi...
