Michigan honks, your thoughts?

....on T.J. Hensick? The Avs just signed him to a three year deal. I can see from his stats that he put up good numbers at the NCAA level, but having not watched much college hockey this year, I'm not sure what to think. What kind of player is he? Pros/cons to having him on the roster?

I've seen this happen with WinXP when it goes into Hibernate or Standby. Basically, while the computer is in this state, the DSL modem/router still thinks it's connected, but the system doesn't renew its DHCP lease, so that when you bring it out of Hibernate/Standby, the IP is no longer valid. This ...

Bwahahaha. What a clown that guy is. How much did he offer this time? A gazillion dollars? Just go away, Eagle. In other news, the Avs re-signed Sakic to another 1 year deal. Good thing too. If they hadn't, there would have been a price on Francois Giguere's head. 1 million dollar raise, which is wo...

Was there ever really any doubt? Zetterberg and Datsyuk are the future of the Wings, much to the envy of many teams around the league. I, for one, would have been pretty surprised if they had let Datsyuk slip away.

sig bet? On what, exactly? I've said they are winnable games, but that doesn't mean I think that the Avs will win. I actually think they'll be lucky to get past tonight in the Saddledome with their playoff hopes intact, and I'm not generally in the practice of betting anything on a losing outcome.

Yep, I like to think that Stastny and Wolski are the future this team will be built around. Stastny may be behind Malkin in scoring, but I think he's a better two way player, a function of having played in NCAA as opposed to the Russian leagues. I haven't seen Malkin play much, but the guy is a walk...

I really, really want to believe the Avs will make the playoffs, but the scenario is pretty unrealistic. Both Colorado and Calgary have a possible 8 points up for grabs. For the Avs to make it, they MUST get 7 of those 8 points, and Calgary can't get more than one. If Calgary gets one and Colorado g...

Was your friend driving like they do in Car and Driver? The good people at that publication like to treat everything like it's a Ferrari Enzo, so that 0-60 in 8.9 was probably stomping on the accelerator and holding it there until you hit 60. I'd say that's a nice move for San Jose. Thornton and Guerin are similar types of players. Put those two on different lines and it will create matchup problems for sure. Put them on the same line and you're going to need a Norris-caliber d-man to stop them. So let's see. The first round of the draft...

Biron to Philly for an "undisclosed draft pick." Philly is poising themselves for next year. With a decent draft and a couple of good free agent signings, they could really turn things around next year.

Conklin to Buffalo and Laraque to the Pens.
