amazingly, and i have no explanation for it, i watched the entire back 9 of the Senior PGA. but, there were multiple melts. Dana Quigley melted, and then Pate melted (blamed it on his caddie), and then Quigley melted (didn't blame it on his caddie), and then Pate melted again. and Reid wins. Pate mi...

i laughed when i saw that in the more *mature* phase of the Dandies artistic evolution she was playing keyboards.

(her gushing "this is my first band and i'm in the coolest band ever..." soliloquy was kind of pitiful too.)

the finish to the Senior PGA was wild. Mike Reid comes from 6 down at the turn and *3 back* with an eagle on the final hole to make the playoff (nice 3 jack Pate)......and win.

i don't plan to go see it since it appears to glorify anti-authoritarian themes. in times as such, i firmly believe that we need young people to acknowledge the higher power and that God has entrusted us with a strong leader like the President.

Boise St. at UGA should be interesting. though, Dodd's description of them "taking on everyone" a la Bowden/FSU is probably more Fresno St.

also, as for his ISU/Bugeater matchup for the BigXII North, i'm gonna stick with Colorado who has won me the money 2 of the last 3 years.

early echo and the bunnymen underrated

i think they get a bad rap being lumped in with a lot of synth-pop bands. they put out two great guitar records in Crocodiles and Porcupine. and Heaven Up Here is passable. Ocean Rain is more a great record of pop songwriting and studio sound than born of live playing. Crocs is awesome. 1981 or 1983...
