amazingly, and i have no explanation for it, i watched the entire back 9 of the Senior PGA. but, there were multiple melts. Dana Quigley melted, and then Pate melted (blamed it on his caddie), and then Quigley melted (didn't blame it on his caddie), and then Pate melted again. and Reid wins. Pate mi...

the Lips doc is called Fearless Freaks. my sister saw it in OKC, she loved it. it's made by the same guy, Bradley Beasley, who did the Okie Noodling documentary....which i'm proud to say i showed to my Contemporay Mass Media class last semester (can't remember the exact justification). Beasley is an...

that 1994 Colorado team had so much talent and went to Lincoln and bent over. it was 95 ( ithink) i remember sitting at a bar* in Boulder (with a Buff friend of mine) and on the 3rd or 4th play from scrimmage NU runs their base pitch play to the I back.....for an Ahman Green 70 yard TD. untouched. ...

i think they get a bad rap being lumped in with a lot of synth-pop bands. they put out two great guitar records in Crocodiles and Porcupine. and Heaven Up Here is passable. Ocean Rain is more a great record of pop songwriting and studio sound than born of live playing. Crocs is awesome. 1981 or 1983...

i'm going to be at the US Open at Pinehurst and the old man and i will be flying into Raleigh/Durham. I have a little nostalgia for the area since i started a PhD program at Duke but due to family issues had to withdraw and re-start at Colorado. but, i'm semi-familiar with Chapel Hill and Durham. Ho...

James Wilder was tough. there were some good backs in the late 70's Big 8: Wilder, Tony Reed at CU, Terry Miller at OSU, Sims, King, Overstreet, Peacock, Lott....I.M. Hipp, Jarvis Redwine. Dwayne Crutchfield at ISU. Hipp may may have been a little later. that's real interesting about Phil Bradley an...

Tex-Mex food is glorified Taco Bell or Del Taco. Not in San Antonio. Tons of great Tex-Mex and regional Mexican restaurants there. I still haven't found a decent Mexican restaurant in Tulsa, unless you count Chilis or On the Border. All the mom and pop places I've been here haven't been very memora...
